I happened to be on the phone with a health coach the other day and I asked what her favorite website was to get healthy recipies for dinners and stuff. She let me to this one from the American Heart Association:
http://www.deliciousdecisions.org/
After browsing around a little bit I think it's easy to understand why. I love it! I especially love that you can look up meals based on ingredients, nationalities, type of meal (entree, appetizer, lunch, snack) and that it's so easy to navigate through.
Another website she recommended was www.mypyramid.gov where you can create your own food pyramid based on your age, weight, gender and personal needs.
Hooray for health!

Nice 'n Easy
Well, I figured since it's hard - or rather, takes TIME - to go out and exercise...here was a friendly article about how to stay fit and healthy AT HOME. Which is what I prefer. I'm all about staying healthy, but like to find ways around spending a bunch of money each month to go run on a treadmill, when I can do just that - or things similar to that (for FREE) at home. So here's the article:

Beat the bulge!
"Scientific evidence suggests but does not prove that eating 1.5 ounces per day of most nuts, such as pistachios, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol may reduce the risk of heart disease."

Now isn't that just chummy?
I figured I'd beat the year mark by a day for the last post on this blog! Yay for healthy lifestyles!
